The English Classes
Our English program is composed of 20 hours of language instruction per week. All our teachers are certified to teach English in Canada. Our maximum class size is of 15 students, while the average is between 10-12 per class. There are 6 different levels of English classes in our program from beginner to advanced.
All students are required to enter a test the first Monday of their stay with us. The test is both written and spoken. When assigning students to their level we take into consideration three main criteria: English proficiency, nationality and age.
The program consists of 4 classes a day from Monday to Friday. The first 3 classes focus on grammar, listening/speaking and reading/writing. The 4th class is an elective class that focuses more on the practical side of the language. The classes offered at the program are Journalism, Drama and Health and Sports.
Journalism
Students will get to learn the basics of writing articles and the appropriate way to do that. At the program we have a weekly newsletter that is distributed to students, parents and agencies with schedules, stories from students etc. They will be working on a daily basis to do that, together with their teacher.
Arts and Drama
Students will get to work on different arts as well as drama plays with the intention to put together a piece of art and present to the other students. This is a great opportunity for those who like this kind of activity and can obviously use English only while they are preparing and learning for this.
Health and Sports
Teaches students the basics of health and how to keep your body healthy as well as practicing lots of different sports.
