Winter Activities
The activities for the Winter Programs offered at International House reflect the winter season and the students will enjoy a true Canadian experience.
Activities will run in the afternoon and/or evening after English classes, usually between 14:00 – 18:00 and/or from 20:00 – 21:00. During the weekends there are full day activities and they will start as early as 9:00 and continue for the rest of the day. Below is a sample week of activities.
Facilities and Accommodations
Students will live a true Canadian experience by being part of a Canadian family. They will have the comfort of living at home and the benefit of improving their English skills enormously. They will have a single or double room, use of all house facilities such as; kitchen, living room, TV, garden (if applicable) etc.
The families we work with are very carefully chosen by our dedicated homestay department. The families have a lot of experience with teenagers and embody the true spirit of a Torontonian family.
You will also enjoy a taste of Canadian food and home cooking. Usually breakfasts and dinners will be at home while lunch will be taken packed at school.
The locations of the homestays have been chosen carefully to ensure an easy commute to school. None of the families lives more than 40 minutes away from the main school campus.
