Hi, I am HongHwan(Matthew) Kim I can't forget when I got to IHC at the first time. IHC has a really awesome school for me.
There are a lot of reasons but I'll tell you about my most impressive two experiences. The first time when I got IHC, I was really disappointed, Because the school was very small. but the director(Tracy) introduced very detail about the school. After I started school, I was still disappointed for 2 or 3 days. I didn't know why I felt that. However, My feeling was getting better very quickly. Because Every student were kind and friendly to me. So I could adapt very quickly.
I could talk to all of the students in the school, we didn't care about level, I learned English through conversation. That was a really good point to me. I am sure that other students think same as me. So I was happy to stay at school. this is my first impressive experience. The second one is hiking. I had been to Banff national park twice. this place is great, amazing and awesome!! When I went to Banff the first time, I saw a glacier, that was the first time. And When I climbed a mountain I could see beautiful landscape. Also I could see bear's foot print. At that time Tracy went there with us, she explained everything to us. she taught me many things when we climbed the mountain.
I will never forget, I made an Inukshuk with Tracy. She taught about a part of Canada culture to me through a play. Now I never regret that I chose this school, because there are a lot of nice teachers and friends.

When I decided to come to Canada for studying English, I thought it would not be easy to improve English and making amazing experience with new friends. But now, it is 6 weeks to the day when I arrive here, I'm completely satisfied that I'm studying in IH Calgary. IH Calgary made a difference in my life.
We are smaller than other IH campuses. IH Calgary only has 50 people. But we know each other's name and get along very well regardless of level or class. Because I get mixed up with many friends who come from every everywhere. I could learn not only English but also other country's culture. I'd love to study in IHC too.
Except regular class, I'm attending 'TOFLE' class and 'North America Work Culture' in E,F class. In 'TOFLE' CLASS, I'm studying writting, speaking, listening and reading strategically. It's helping me to improve overall English. Above all, It gave me confidence to figure out how to answer question. In 'North America Work Culture', I'm learning how to organize my resume and responding job interview. It was really useful and helped me getting a job what I wanted. I also want to appreciate variety school activities. They showed us around lots of good places in Calgary.
I think I couldn't experience real Canada unless I attended school activities. Watching the 'Cirque de solar'was one of the greatest activities that I've done. I was fascinated the ' SHOW' what they showed. Even music, light, costume, everything was perfect. 'Wing night' in everyweek also will never be forgotten. I'd love to have awesome wings and beers with my classmates. I'm used to have wings every wednesday. And as long as I stay in Canada, I'd like to enjoy 'wingday' with Calgary Flame's hockey game..! I'm so grateful to spend my time in Canada with IH Calgary!

What can I say about Calgary?! Well, I really enjoyed the beautiful parks all around the city, the efficient public transport system and, surely, the awesome place I visited such as: Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise, Lake Moraine (the most beautiful)…
Anyway, you will have the opportunity to discover everything by the several activities organized from the school…IH…How can I describe the life in “my” school?!
It has been a family where I truly felt loved, where the people love you for who you are and what you have to give.
I always hate English during my school time and now I’m able to speak this language and that means there are very good teachers who made a miracle with me!
You learn having fun but it’s not just learn a language, be in IH means be part of a big family, a crazy one! Because, remember, if you aren’t crazy you can stay there! (I don’t wanna scare you, my dear reader!).
An advice?! Join all the school’s activities because are the best moments to know your schoolmates, to build a real relationship!
Summarizing: learn English, have fun, feel part of something and not alone in a foreign country is what IH can offer to you, is what will make your experience unforgettable!

I really enjoyed my time at IH Toronto. The teachers were fantastic and funny. They made the lessons lively and pleasant. I also met friends from all over the world. Also, the school permits you to go on great trips, for example French Canada, New York, and Niagara Falls. I personally went on the New York trip and I have to say, it was a great, amazing trip and I recommend it to everybody. I had a good time at IH Toronto and I’ll miss it and all of the nice foreign students when I go back to France. My trip in Toronto will definitely stay in my memory.

Studying in the FCE course is a real pleasure because we learn a lot of vocabulary. It’s a nice classroom with a great atmosphere and the teacher is great, such a funny person. We can tell jokes all day if we want to but we keep studying hard. FCE is becoming more and more important in Europe, which is why I took it.
The only problem with studying at IH is that the time goes by too quickly and we all wish we could stay longer.

We spent two weeks in International House Language School in Miami for improving our English. We are surprised how much we were able to learn in such a short period of time. This was certainly due to:
- The school paid attention to all our needs (understanding, speaking, reading and writing)
- All subjects were contemporary and adapted to our age
- The class was small
- The teachers were very friendly and professional
The school is very well located in South Beach, in a very quiet and safe area, close to the beach and all activities.
We will be back next year to continue!

Toronto is such a safe place and richly endowed with nature. Although a break in the weather gave me some troubles, it was very pleasant to live in Toronto. Also my host family was very warm, friendly and caring. They were so nice to live with. There are three attractive points of IH Toronto. Firstly, there are many different levels, so students can take the right classes based on their level. The class was so different from that of Japanese schools. It was more relaxed and at home. Because of the English Only Policy, I learned and earned a lot experiences. Secondly, IH Toronto has smaller classes than any other major school, so I had so many chances to speak in my classes. Moreover, I got to know my classmate easily. Thirdly, there are many fun activities. IH organizes after school activities everyday. If you join these activities, you will definitely enjoy your life in Toronto. It is a great opportunity to see other students from different classes and levels. I just would like to say that I am so happy to be here in Toronto this summer.

I first studied at IH Toronto in the summer of 2008! I really enjoyed it! I met great people from all over the world and great teachers! The school is very well located! Classes are very funny that's why you increase your english level a lot!
After my trip, I wanted to go back again, so I went back in summer 2009! This time I had an internship with the International House Teenager Adventure Program! Such a cool internship! Now, I'm already thinking of going back! Miss it like crazy!

I selected this course because I think it’s a great opportunity to study English in detail. I know that it’s recognized all over the world as a Cambridge qualification. We are a small class, so we can progress quicker than I expected and my classmates and teacher are so cheerful and we help each other. I definitely made a good choice because I’ve been able to improve and focus on my favourite language.
I recommend this FCE course to anyone who wants to be an international student!

My best experience in Calgary was my trip to Lake Louise and Banff. The nature was beautiful! Meeting new people at school is also a very good experience. The school is really good. All the teachers are very nice and kind! We have a nice classroom and you can always use the computer! That’s perfect for when I miss my family!

I think IH Toronto is a great place for learning English. The teachers are so kind and they talk very clear, so you can understand them easily. The best experience I’ve had was the way my homestay family treated me. On my first weekend they took me to the baptism of one of their godchildren. That was an amazing experience for me because I felt like a part of their family. What I like about IH Calgary is that it is like a big family. You arrive here and after one day you are part of it. It’s just great and I think this also helps new students feel comfortable so they can learn more.

Toronto is a beautiful city, and the people here are incredible. I chose IH because a friend was studying there, he told me great thinks about IH but I couldn’t imagine how great IH is.
IH was more than my school to me. The teachers there are more than only teacher, they were my friends and I didn’t feel alone. I had my best memories from IH, my best friends, and great learning. Also I had a chance to study in another school. I missed IH a lot. I ‘m pretty happy, finally I’m leaving and I concluded my goal here.
If I have a chance to recommend a school in Toronto, I will recommend IH Toronto, because I’d like to share my experience with more people.
